Did you know, SRG was started by a group of mates almost 10 years ago, for the purpose of helping a female friend, run safely at night?  One of those legends is Mat Britton, Founder of Trail to Triumph.

Trail To Triumph is a Non-profit organisation that is focused on raising funds and awareness of Mesothelioma, silicosis & other dust related lung diseases in memory of Mat's late father, Tony Britton. TTT main annual fundraising event is a 250 km Ultra Marathon. This year, the TTT runners will embark on their 250 km journey on the 15th of October from Moranbah Hawks Football Club and will finish on the 17th at the Mackay Base

This year TTT has had the opportunity to contribute $50,000 to the Heart of Australia Heart 5 truck dedicated to lung disease and $45,000 to Lung Foundation Australia for a research scholarship in Tony Britton’s honour.

The Team at TTT hope to be able to continue these contributions for many years to come and to do so we need your support.  TTT 2021 proudly sponsored by Maurice Blackburn Lawyers

In addition, SRG has many incredible runners, entered in the Blackall Ultra Marathon, which will be raced across 15-16 October. 100km with 3300m of elevation, or 50km with 1600m of elevation!

How good are SRG runners!!

We as a group, have an opportunity to show our support, by way of running VIRTUALLY with them.  Across Saturday 16 October, between the hours of 5am - 5pm, we will have a 1km loop set up in the Robelle Domain, incorporating the infamous 'road to nowhere'.

The CHALLENGE is, do as many 1km loops as you can across the day.  You can come and go, you can do a long run, lots of short runs, do some with us and some on your own, the options are endless.

All we ask is that you donate $1 per km completed, directly to www.trailtotriumph.com.au.  A QR code will be available on site at the event.  All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The SRG tent will be present, with live updates across the day from the TTT crew and Blackall participants.

This is a day where we can show the SRG spirit in full force.  It doesn’t matter if you do 1 lap or 50, its about being part of the SRG community, showing support to our mates and challenging ourselves.
